How students used to travel when there was no buses

We all have travelled by school buses but earlier the situation was different. Students used to rely on walking, farm wagons, or sledges to reach schools.  The first school buses were horse-drawn carriages.

Why school buses are painted yellow

School buses are generally painted yellow because yellow color has attention grabbing qualities. Research shows that it gets noticed faster than any other color. It is also visible during early morning or late evening that can alert people to slow down and be mindful that children are on board.

Trained drivers

The drivers are trained to drive carefully by recognizing their responsibilities. The training session of school bus, drivers are different from other bus drivers. The duties of the driver do not end with commuting the students but their safety all lies in his hand. He also has to tackle other problems in the buses such as student behavior, bullying, etc. If there is any issue on the road, he is responsible to alert the school management system or the parents about the same.

Why school bus don’t need any seat belts

The school buses are much safer than any other bus as they are made differently. The buses are constructed on the concept of compartmentalization.  The seats are higher off the ground and the seats are properly cushioned to provide safety in case of collision. The seats are closer and the aisles are twelve inches apart to create safety. This crowding helps the students straight in their place in case of collision or jerks and thus seat belts are not much required.
