Installation issues in Quickbooks can cause Quickbooks error 6160

Causes: 

  • Large number of OLE controls.

  • OS configuration might not be valid.

  •  Disabled shortcuts.

  • Dependency services are disabled. 



  • Ways to get Quickbooks error 6160 fixed:


  • Close Quickbooks.

  • Open run box.

  • Move to uninstall/change the program.

  • Select Quickbooks and then click on uninstall/change tab. 

  • In the Quickbooks installation windows, go to the radio button.

  • Click on the repair tab.

  • Click on Finish.

  • Reboot your system.

  • Now, open Quickbooks. 

  • Open utilities tab.

  • Select the option of Stop hosting multi-user access.

  • Click yes on the permission windows.
