Infographic "Before these Writers Became World-Known"
You may be grumbling about your part-time job right now. You are slinging burgers and your clothes smell permanently like grease; you may be clearing tables after unruly kids with ignorant parents have left a disgusting mess; you may be cleaning dirty houses or emptying bedpans. It all somehow seems unfair.
So, we designed an interesting Infographic on Essay Thinker just for you – we wanted to show you that even very famous people have had to take jobs that they probably grumbled about, just like you. What we think you will find interesting is the kinds of odd jobs that some of the world’s most famous authors took on their way up. James Joyce, for example, grew up in poverty while his father sang for a meagre living, and, when he struggled to become an author, he did the same – taking low-paying gigs to put food on the table. Chuck Palahniuk tells how he spent his early writing years under the chases of diesel trucks, as a mechanic; and F. Scott Fitzgerald repaired car roofs. They took low-paying jobs keeping their eyes on the prize – becoming established authors. So, keep your eye on your prize, and do what it takes to get you there. You have good company.
