The opening match undoubtedly will be the most exciting as Mumbai Indians, the 4 times current defending winner defeated Chennai Super Kings in 2019 who has won the tournament thrice in the past. The match will be tough and fans of each team will be tensed and thrilled, concurrently.
This year’s edition schedule had already been released by the respective franchisees without waiting for the announcement of the BCCI on 14 Feb 2020. Cricket fans are already in josh as this edition brings only 6 double headers, making it the longest in the tournament history.
Meanwhile, this edition will not witness any double-headers on Saturdays but 2 nonstop matches on Sundays alike previous editions excluding the first and last days of the league. There will be a total of 60 matches to be played by the teams. Another good news is that all the teams will play 7 home games in their base cities, Rajasthan Royals’ 2 games will be played either in Jaipur or Guwahati on April 5 and 9. However, the venues for several games are yet not decided and will be finalized soon.
