India e tourist Visa types and Requirements

Indian Govt. recently retooled visa policy for foreigners.  Under new visa policy various changes were made to attract more tourist to India Several new categories of visa were introduced.

New categories of Indian visa Introduced recently are :

one month e-tourist visa is allows 2 entries within the validity period of 30days

whereas one year and 5 year e-tourist visa allows multiple entries of visa within policies of continuous stay

With these new categories of visa there are various other changes are made to facilitates tourist like more visa on arrival counter at GOA airport ,  relaxation of visa policies for srilanka, china , sirra leone, UAE, Malaysia  and other countries

Discount in the visa fee on one month visa fee during non peak seasons , MAY -June  that it will cost up 16$ maximum , during peak season  it costs around 35$

Relaxation of continuous stay for the citizens of United states, United Kingdom, Japan, Canada  they are allowed to stay in Indian maximum upto 180 days.

for other countries continuous stay period is 90 days

Generally it requires

Passport copy front page and with 2 blank pages with at least 6 months of validity

photograph ........check photograph requirement for visa
