In ICC Twenty20 International Cricket, Australia is among the top teams. On the 17th of February, 2005, the Netherlands faced New Zealand in their maiden Twenty20 International in Auckland at Eden Park. Until August 2021, they have played 146 T20I games versus various international cricket sides, winning 73 and losing 68. Two drawn matches and three matches with no outcome have been entered into their record book. The T20 World Cup has never been won by Australia until 2022 making an Australia T20 record breaker match. In 2010, they made it to the finale but were unable to win.

Details about Australia's Top Twenty20 International Squad Total

Sri Lanka versus 263/3 during 2016

Australia's maximum T20I squad total is 263 runs for three versus Sri Lanka at Pallekele on the 6th of September, 2016. Sri Lanka requested Australia to bat initially after gaining the toss, and they achieved 263 runs, their greatest total in the shortest version of the match. It was made feasible by Glens Maxwell's undefeated 145 runs off 65 deliveries in the first inning. Sri Lanka, on either side, did not get off to a good start and suffered greatly at first. Sri Lanka's batters can only manage 178 runs and ended up losing the game by 85 runs.

England against. 248/6 during 2013

Australia's second-highest squad total is 248 runs for 6 deliveries versus England in Southampton on the 29th of August, 2013. Aaron Finch, the Australian opening batsman, scored 156 runs off 63 deliveries to enable Australia to post their 2nd highest T20 International total. England got off to a bad start, losing four wickets for 42 runs, but Ravi Bopara and Joe Root kept the game alive. They both worked hard but were unable to hit the objective.

2018 – 245/5 against New Zealand

Australia's third greatest squad total was 245 runs versus New Zealand in Auckland on the 16th of February, 2018. Although Martin Guptill's 49 delivery century was spectacular, Australia's world-record score chase in Auckland at Eden Park was more remarkable. David Warner and D'Arcy Short smashed spectacular boundaries and touched the fifties to set the tone for Australia's comeback. While New Zealand battled to seal the win with only a few overs remaining, Australia's middle-order pushed the pace.

Sri Lanka 233/2 – during 2019

This is Australia's fourth-best squad total in a T20 International match versus Sri Lanka on the 27th of October, 2019. With their highest-ever score on Australian territory and 4th highest overall, Aaron Finch's squad beat Sri Lanka. Warner's undefeated century and Finch's 64 had previously set the tone for a large total. Glenn Maxwell finished the remainder of the job. Sri Lanka was unable to withstand the strain and gave up entirely at 99/9.

2018 – 229/2 versus Zimbabwe

Australia's fifth highest squad total was versus Zimbabwe in Harare during 2018. Aaron Finch, who is the Australian skipper, bowled a remarkable inning of 172 runs in 76 deliveries, guiding his team to a maximum of 229 runs. On a sluggish surface that was difficult for hitters, Andrew Tye and Ashton Agar bowled brilliantly for Australia. Zimbabwe's batting order crumbled under duress, managing only 129 runs for 9 wickets and losing by a large score of 100 runs.
