Importance of effective resume while searching a job

Few months later unfortunately I lost my job, I was bore of it and boss’s behavior was too hectic to bear. So I left job as I know I can get into work again soon as I was confident on myself. But I was also aware of that fact that now job searching processes is totally changed.

I was associated with my job for a very long time and obviously while doing job I couldn’t keep of things in vision, e.g. search of job in relevant and effective manner. I was working in human resources department on job and was doing well, but after quite I find many things changed in the field of human resources HR. I was engaged with my job for two years and was not aware of changes occurred in job market. Many of people like me were suffering from unemployment for more than one year. At sudden I was very shocked after finding some cases that have experience of two to three years in respective field and are unemployed.

I was very confused, many questions arising in my mind. To sort out the fact I tried to do little market research and came to know that people are more in number than job positions. Some said that my field is saturated with HR professionals and my experience is not come on merit. Still I saw many company’s profiles, demanding perfect candidate, never the less I applied and keep on applying. I send my resume to many companies. Sat in many interviews for different job posts but never got conforming call. I contacted many online recruiters who forward my CV to other companies but still only a question mark or direct no. That was really frustrating and was totally fed-up with this situation. I applied for marketing and for customer care services, was also gone for online and telemarketing but no change. After so many appointments and disappointments I decided to consult on of my senior acquaintance and I did so.

I was at her home and told her everything; I was there to ask her if she could adjust me somewhere as I was really tired of applications, contacts to recruiters and job search. Once she heard my problem she asked me if I have reviewed my resume. My answer was no. she seemed amazed after my answer and said you will never get job. I strangely looked her as I would not believing her but she kept emphasized that I will not get job like this, so it is better to stop searching jobs in Pakistan. At last I asked why she is saying like that. I am pretty confident even after so many refusals. I know my job and aware of my capabilities. I have good reputation in my last job and my experience certificate proves this fact.

But she was still remained same, so is that I asked her why she is saying like that she smiled and said you have actually wasted your time by applying in many firms with same resume. Have you passed whole job with one dress, my answer was obviously no, a smile came on her face and said then why are you applying for many jobs with a single resume. My resume on internet is the same which I take with myself while applying.

By here I came to know what my mistake is, and why I was not getting job. I was happy that at last I came up with a solution that can surely lead me a job.
