IAS Result- to be Announced soon

Union Public Service Commission or UPSC has released the official notification regarding the IAS 2015 Prelims exam. Through this exam, students with extra intellectuality and capability are selected to certain important posts in various administrative departments of Indian government. Post examination IAS result will be announced and the students qualifying for the exam will be further become eligible to appear in the IAS (MAINS) exam. This year the prelims are scheduled to be held on 28th August 2015. Further the IAS mains exam will be held for the qualifying students on 18th December 2015.
Talking about the eligibility, it is necessary for the n aspiring candidates to fulfil certain eligibility rules which are discussed below-

Any Indian citizen or a person with Indian origin or PIO is eligible. PIO refers to candidates from Nepal, Bhutan or migrants from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka or other East African countries of Uganda, Kenya, Zambia, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zaire, Malawi, Vietnam and Ethiopia who moved to India with the intention of permanently settling or Tibetan refugees who moved to India before 1 January 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in the country. All these candidates are considered eligible to appear in the IAS prelims exam.
People aged between 21 and 32 years are considered liable to appear in IAS exam. The relaxation in age depends on the UPSC’s clause.
Further candidates from medical background or belonging to technical filed are considered eligible. Normally a graduate degree in any discipline will make you eligible for the exam.
The number of attempts for the exam differ category wise. If the candidate belong to a GE category then he/she is only allowed to give the exam 6 times only. An OBC candidate or a person with disability is allowed to give the exam 9 times whereas the SC/ST candidates are exempted from this rule, i.e., there is no such restrictions for them.

The candidates who have applied for the IAS prelims exam shall be liable to get the concerned exam admit card and thereafter can check the IAS result of 2015 exam from commission’s website. It should be noted that the admit card can be downloaded from the UPSC website by entering your registration number. This admit card should be brought for each session of the examination, failing which the candidate will not be allowed to enter the examination hall.

A Brief glance at the IAS exam-

The following exam contains two objective type papers with 400 marks as the total which can be attempted either in Hindi or English. Whereas the mains includes a total of nine papers in which paper I and paper II are qualifying papers. The remaining seven are based on the optional subjects that have been chosen by the candidate. The qualifiers are for 300 marks each and the remaining seven papers are marked for 250 marks. After the candidates becomes successful in the mains, he/she will be called for the interview. This interview carries a total of 300 marks.
The commission declares the IAS result for each session of the exam on its official website.
