Following are the important dates as per the IAS Application form 2016 is concerned:

• Release of the notification cum Application form for the IAS 2016 – 23rd April 2016
• Last date to fill the application form – 20th May 2016
• Date of release of the IAS Admit Card 2016 – last week of July 2016
• Date of IAS Preliminary exam 2016 – 07th August 2016
• Date of IAS Main exam 2016 – 03rd December 2016

Procedure to fill IAS 2016 Application Form

The application form will be accepted through online only. The application form will be available on the Commission’s website. The applicant will have to fill the application form by completing the two-parts of the form viz.  Part-I and Part-II Registration. In the part- I registration, candidates will have to fill in all the details and upload the scanned imaged of the photo & signature. In Part-II, candidates will have to make payment of the requisite application fee. The fee can be paid via online mode or through the challan which is to be deposited in the State Bank of India.

The following are the instructions that must be followed to fill the IAS Application form 2016 effectively:

• First of all, visit the official website of UPSC which is upsconline.nic.in
• On the website of UPSC, try to find the link of the Application form and click on it.
• There would be two parts of the Application form as mentioned earlier. Click on part 1 and furnish all the required information there. Once furnished, click on the submit button.
• On the next part of the Application form, pay the requisite application fee either through CC/DC, or through the Challan of SBI.
• Get the print out of the Application form for further usage.
