Huawei Ascend G6: Simplicity is the key

by Pramod Kumar Digital Marketing

There are times when simplicity wins your heart and this time Huawei Ascend G6 did it with style and elegance. 7.5 mm thin, 4.5” qHD IPS Screen, straight structure with curvaceous ends makes it an eye-popper, simple yet so elite, yet so technically advanced!

A growing trend suggests that people want smartphones which gives better internet accessibility.  A large volume of people want their smartphones only for surfing net. Whether be it accessing social networking sites or news websites, people prefer to do it on their smartphones. For many smartphone users internet is the soul of their smartphones. Huawei Ascend is equipped with HSPA and HSUPA technologies which gives download speed of up to 21.1 Mbps and upload speed of up to 5.76 Mbps. So, for all you net savvy folks, this is the phone you must be looking for and it comes with such an affordable price tag. One can say that it is the cheapest 4G available phone with amazing speed.

If you are worrying about the lag and efficiency, your Ascend G6 is powered by 1.2 GHz Quad Core Processor and 1GB RAM. You can play HD games, videos effortlessly and effectively. Multiple applications can also be operated easily. Hold your heart beat, it possess Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with Huawei Emotion UI 2.0 lite which enhances the phone’s working ability manifolds. This is the only drawback if we talk, the android version used here is an older version and Huawei’s own Emotion 2.0 lite has still to gain the trust of users. It gives you access to 1000s of online themes and features like phone manger, touch scan and security for apps etc. Phone manager manages your data efficiently while add-on security is incorporated with the help of touch scan and security for apps.

Huawei has made it a trend to come up with powerful cameras. In an era when Pinterest, Instagram, Tweeter, Facebook are flooded with selfies, Ascend G6 is powered with 8MP rear end camera with flash and front end 5 MP camera. Over 17 million selfies are being uploaded everyday on web. With the growing selfie trend, Huwaei must be aiming to tap the market. It also has face beautification function and the preview window tells you where to place the camera for perfect selfies. Whether it is the group selfie or panoramic selfie, Huawei Ascend G6 is equipped with all these facilities. Not only this, it has ‘beauty’ settings to soften the focus of the camera. You also can enjoy various filter options to add desirable hue to your photographs. None of the other phones in this price bracket have such an amazing front camera.  You can also go record 720p @ 30 fps HD videos which is a treat to watch.

It has an internal memory of 8 GB and expandable up to 32 GB. Battery backup is a must need for such a heavy duty phone and Ascend G6 is empowered with one. The 2000 mAh Li-ion battery gives it enough power to run your phone effectively for longer durations. Less powerful processor also ensures the longevity of the phone.

There are few draw backs too. The resolution of Ascend G6 has been dropped to 960x540, which disappoints a little as Lumia 520, Moto G have better resolutions. But again they lack features which Ascend can provide. The plastic cover makes it look little bit cheap, as metallic body would be expected from a large chunk of expected users. The outdated android platform might be a turn off for many users.

Apart from these cons, Huawei Ascend G6 is an amazing smartphone with a lot of pros, which aims at attracting internet savvy youth in the age group of 18-35. 4G speed, powerful battery, amazing camera, presentable processor gives enough power in the user’s hand. User can decide how to swap screens, in a straight forward way or with windmill effect or with a wide range of effects already stored.

The final verdict is; it is the strongest phone in its price bracket if you go for one by one specification comparison. Huawei Device India knows its target audience and it is one of the strong entrants in the market. Though it will certainly take time to create a niche for itself and make audience believe in Huawei’s product. Other than that, it is a decent phone and better than many other products in its price range. The suggestion would be to go for it as it is one of the most efficient phones in its range.
