Preparation strategy

Candidates should remember these three variables while preparing for the RAS exam.

-Number of subjects

-Availability of time

-Depth of study needed in each subject

- Right RAS coaching

If you cover a subject in-depth but fail to cover the basics of other subjects then there is no use for this preparation, so sufficient understanding of all subjects is necessary to attempt the maximum question in the RAS exam.

Spend your time in such a way that you can attempt more questions in each subject. Decide first how much time you will have to devote to every subject. Revise all the subjects before the exam once and don't go for any new books or study material.

There is no need to make extra effort to cover the deconstructed syllabus of the RAS exam like Rajasthan specific parts. The important book recommended for Rajasthan-specific topics is RBD by publication. You can prepare the topics Rajasthan culture, History, Geography, and Economy from this book.

You can prepare the Sociology part from the IGNOU material. It is not only simple and concise but also relevant. NCERT of classes 11th and 12th are also beneficial for sociology preparation. For accounting and auditing, you can go for commerce NCERT books of class 11th and 12th.

Psychology NCERT books for classes 11th and 12th are referred for the behavior part. Compare the basic definitions for the law part and take help from the IGNOU material. For Science and Technology read some relevant topics from NCERT books of class 6th to 12th and also current affairs and relevant policies.

Go through these topics for Sports and Yoga, Recent awardee, important games, sports policies, the importance of yoga, National and local daily current affairs, Economics reviews of Government of Rajasthan for government schemes,

Government economic surveys are referred for the economic part

Finally, don't ignore Hindi and English. You can score well very easily in these subjects. Focus on formal letters, government circulars, communique and the format for notification
