How to work proxy server

When we are using internet and browsing any website, there are many ways that are make the whole process possible. Over PC is connected to internet service provider (ISP) via modem and use the services of an ISP, when we browse any website, first we send request to access a specific website by typing the website address like YouTube.com and hit the enter button, first the request send to the ISP internet service provider which are check the request. If the internet service provider has a proxy server with cached requests, when retrieving our request it will see the information in its cache to determine if the proxy can wish or not. The proxy server has the ability to save all the requests in caches if a user need any request first it is checked in cache if request is available in the cache, then give him from cache otherwise the information is sent from the original server. 

In other side if the proxy server cannot wish, it will send the request to the real server that hosts the specific website that we are requesting. The host server sends that information to the proxy server, which can then cache the response for future requests and then sends the information to our personal computer. Sometimes more than one proxy server can be involved as like an MSN and Yahoo have several proxy servers that respond to request from their cache.

The Proxy server has the ability to hide your IP address and give you anonymous browsing to access any sites. And also act as a filter from the employees, blocking attempts to access specific content for their web browsers, additionally many companies have mail servers that store and distribute emails over local network and wide area network (WAN).
