How to Troubleshoot Comcast Email Issues
“And you are unable to send email using
Comcast account; what to do now?”
You can easily fix
most of the common problems of your Comcast email account with some basic
troubleshooting. The very first thing we need to check the computer and
internet connections are connected and working properly. Also check your email
client; it should configure properly. When you find any problem with it, check
with your official Comcast account and fix it. We have some common issues and
their respective solutions; you can use to do troubleshooting on your own.
Check Comcast equipment
You should check the
modem and router of Comcast internet are connected properly. Also check the
cables are connected and not loose. If you find any cable is broken or not
connected properly, then connect Comcast for replacement.
Use correct email protocol to with an email client
When you configure
your Comcast on an email client, you need to make sure that you are using the
correct protocol. There is a difference between MAPI, POP and IMAP; and their
respective settings too. You need to make sure that you are using the protocol
which supports both Comcast Business email and your preferred email client.
Check for blocked port
When you find that
you cannot send email using your Comcast account even after using the correct
settings, then you should check for the blocked port. Comcast uses to block
some port for security concerns. You should check whether the port you are
using is blocked or not.
Problem with large files
When you are unable
to send large files using your Comcast email account, you need to understand
the maximum file size. Comcast allows you to send attachments of 20 MB per
email including the email content too. If you exceed this, you have to face
this error. We recommend you to avoid exceeding this limit.
Use Comcast Webmail
When you don’t have
much of time to fix your Comcast account and you want to get it fixed, you can
choose Comcast webmail. This works in all cases when you cannot access your
Comcast email account using an email client. Simply go to Comcast Webmail on
your browser and sign-in with your account details.
Missing email after configuring an email client
This is a by default
feature of most of the email clients that they will delete the old messages
after a certain period of time. You should make sure to delete mails which are
in no use or you don’t need them any longer. This will create some space so you
will be able to send emails without any interruption.
