How To Submit A File As Safe To Avast Antivirus 2017

Due to the high security of the Avast antivirus 2017, it sometimes marks the safe website as dangerous. This is because if the safe website contains a piece of code and that code match that of a virus signature in the Avast's virus definitions database, then the antivirus consider that website or product as suspicious. Avast allow you to send a false-positive file to them either through user console or by sending a mail to them.

To remove the product from the list and to allow it for future use, you can contact the customer care number. You can search for the Avast antivirus customer support number 1-800-958-211 from the Google or you can get their number form the official website of the antivirus. 

You can resolve this issue on your own by going through simple steps. If the file is in your Virus chest, you can send the false-positive file through user console.

1. Open the antivirus by clicking on its icon and wait until its main window is opened.
   
2. Click the ‘Maintenance' option and then virus chest.
   
3. Now, search for the file which you want to correct. Right-click that file and then, click 'Submit to virus lab' or 'Submit to Alwil software' if applicable. From the 'Type' Box, select 'False Positive'.
   
4. In the 'Files belongs to the following program' section, enter the information you want to add regarding the product. If the product is from the trusted source then check the box near, 'This program comes from a trusted source'.
   
5. You can add the additional information regarding the product in the box provided there.
   
6. You can enter the email address so that the company can contact you regarding the information of the product.
   
7. Finally, check the box near 'I know what I'm doing and click the 'Submit' button.
