What do we consider to be the biggest problems in relation to effective communication?

Survival is a global matter nowadays that still depends on successful communication and that still depends on translation. Translation plays a vital role in this new global framework that demands that actions be taken jointly to solve global problems.

Translation plays an undeniable role in the shaping of cultures, national identities. It is the vehicle that may make compatible the strengthening of a group identity and consequent knowledge of our own culture with the sharing and learning of other cultures; cultures and their texts becoming accessible and available to international audiences in their own language.

Language barrier is common communication complication!

It is of common reasoning to accept that professional translation services do break that barrier. However have you ever considered the situation in which an individual, a company or a government agency encounter the need for communication mediation?
Translation is not given a second glance as to laying out a blueprint to some of the world’s problems. I will share some of the problems that a translation company solves first hand. Problem solving has a valid view of translation practice.

One of the tasks of any given translation company should be to help solve certain social, economic and political problems;
1. The possible solutions should concern linguistic mediation that would possibly require linguistic intervention.
2. Vehemently promote cooperation between cultures.

In the business world, increasing profits and expanding the scale is the aspiration of a commercial business. For a company to realize a significant profit margin in a foreign country, in a completely culturally diverse market from their home market, investing of time and effort is required to localize your product or service. KFC, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, and more companies have made relatable linguistic errors and mistakes. They are quite hilarious to tag a friend and share a good laugh about but, in the end, it strikes the heart of the people as an insult and a disrespectful attempt to invade their culture with a foreign campaign. It equally displays laziness and arrogance of a company that allows this to happen.

Intercultural understanding and respect. Translation does soften the effect of cynical situations such as foreign military and diplomatic missions. To ease communication and create understanding between two diverse cultures, translation serves a substantial amount of purpose. In order for peace to persist in such a milieu, translation services facilitate intercultural knowledge. Understanding how a different culture exerts itself (and respectfully participating if invited) is paramount to peace and intercultural relationship building.

We can thus assist the idealists and masters of globalization, we can help the small nationalisms, or we can criticize both of these options, and everything else in between, by exercising intercultural distance. There is no obvious fatality here. And there is a lot of leeway for variance.

Translation services will usefully deal with the problems of translation as a mode of linguistic mediation. If the aim of all linguistic mediation, including translation, is to promote long-term cooperation between cultures, its problems can involve anything that impedes that aim. Most effort should be spent on the problems that are most important, in the sense that they concern disagreement and debate between different social groups, rather than the more internal problems solved through the apparently disinterested agreement of professionals.

The ethical aim of translation services is the kind of relationship the translation agency should have with the people surrounding them. Translation concerns your target audience, it is advisable to localize the message or content rather than working on the common fallacy that “one size fits all.”
