The first question begins in people's mind that "What is percentage"? How we can Solve Percentage Problems? How we implement percentage portion in our daily life activities? (For example:- How much % work I have done, How much % population of our country are Heart Patient.)                                          

In this article, first of all we should know what the actual meaning of Percentage is. The word "Percent" comes from the latin word means Centum means 100, 

For example a Century is 100 years. A percent is represented by the symbol (%).

 

 

What is Percentage? 

 

In simple words percentage is a number or ratio expressed as a fraction of 100. It means whatever percent we see anywhere it means that percentage value is always comparison to 100.

 

Example 1:- 35% students of school are football player. That means 35 students out of 100 are football player and remaining 65 are not football players. 

 

Example 2:- If someone salary is 1500 Rs. He expenditure 75%. It means he spends 75 Rs per 100, means 75×15 = 1125. (He spends 1125 Rs of his income)

Example 1:-  How many percent is 600gm of 1 kg?

Solution :- According to formula =   X 100

=  × 100

= 60%
