How to Solve Common Problems in Windows 10?

by Carl Smith Software Developer

Users of Windows 10 OS are much satisfied with it. At the same time, we can’t neglect the fact that nothing is perfect in this world. Similar is the case with Windows 10. It does have some issues. Luckily, they can be corrected quite easily. Windows 10 works well, but some problems may surface. The correct methods to solve the issues are given below. Here are some common Windows 10 issues.

Ways to Troubleshoot Common Windows 10 Problems

1. Prevent Automatic Reboot

The updates of Windows 10 are infinite in number and endless. It is not in the hand of the user to stop them until and unless they stop all the updates together which is not a good thing to do. And the worst part is that if the user doesn’t reboot their PC after completing an update, Windows restarts by itself. At such time, people generally lose their essential information in working applications.

● The user can take advantage of features like Active Hours which makes a proper timetable for reboots.

2. Modification of UAC Level

User Account Control which is denoted by the abbreviation UAC is present to make users feel safe by immediately offering administrative rights to software programs, especially while downloading any software. Earlier, whenever the user stepped ahead for downloading work, the display would get dull as if all else was put on hold. This gave a lot of its users a shock. Sadly, UAC is still present in Windows 10 and still does the same thing. But the good part is that the user can switch it off to stop the display from becoming dull all of a sudden.

The method of doing it is as follows-

● In the search box write UAC to modify the User Account Control Settings.

● Then, observe that four options will be given to the user. For instance, options will be given never always to notify.

● I suggest going for the mid one.

3. Instead Of Using A Password, Go For A PIN

If you prefer using Microsoft account but don’t like writing password again and again, then you can reset it to a Personal Identification Number which is abbreviated as a PIN. But that can be done only on computers. The PIN consists of only numbers which can be easy for the user to write rather than a password which includes of mixed characters.

4. Check Cortana Supported Regions

If Cortana is not working, then check the countries supporting Cortana. After all, it can be possible your country among the one who doesn’t support Cortana.

5. Reinstall apps

If any of the Universal application doesn’t work then try installing it again. It may solve your problem most probably.

6. Launch Internet Explorer If Not Been Able To Search

Follow the given below instructions to launch Internet Explorer-

  • Firstly, go to Run.
  • Then, write iExplore.
  • After that, hit the Enter key.
  • Lastly, do right-click over the IE icon from the taskbar and pin it to the toolbar.

7. Disable automated force updates

Updates are significant and can’t be stopped. Luckily, force updates can be stopped in Windows 10.
