To set up the Facebook video calling, you can use both Facebook and Messenger to make a video call with your friends. And the option is almost available on both the platforms. Here are a few simple steps which can help you in setting up the Facebook video calling. Here how to do it:

  1. Launch the Facebook.com on your web browser
  2. Click to log in by entering your credentials.
  3. After that, click on “Turn on Active Status” option to check if it is off or on mode.
  4. Note: you can easily check your active friends, anyone you see with a green dot beside the name is currently available on Facebook.
  5. Choose any of your friends, and the chat box is available at the bottom.
  6. Click on the Video Camera icon.
  7. A new page will pop up on your screen in which you have to allow the web camera and microphone usage access to the Facebook.
  8. You can just hang up and finally close the window.

Alternatively, if you are using the Messenger app then use the following steps:

  1. Launch the Messenger on your web browser.
  2. Click to log in with your Facebook account.
  3. Select your Contacts from the left side of the window.
  4. Then, click on the Video chat icon located at the top right corner of the screen.
  5. Now, a pop-up window will appear on your screen and start making your video calls with your friend, just similar to Facebook.
  6. After that, you also need to provide hardware permissions.
