How TO SECURE YOUR LAPTOPS AND COMPUTERS

by Grace Ben Rent IPad

Technology has grown a lot over the last two decades and it had a lot of positive impacts on our lives but also had some negative impacts too! With the advent of computers and internet, exchanging information is no longer a great big deal, like it used to be. A file sent from one country to another country can be delivered in seconds now. That’s the good side of this invention, what the bad side or you can say the evil side of this invention is that it has taken down the boundaries of personal space. In today’s world you can break into anyone’s personal space by hacking into their computer. Anyone having access to the internet can now be attacked through different viruses. One can easily have access to your computer sitting in another country by using different softwares, websites and codes. What you can do is you can try your best to secure your laptops and PCs. Here are some tips to secure yourself from Hackers:

1.       1.       Adjust the security settings of your browser!

Make sure you adjust the security settings of the browser you use. Today’s browsers have a variety of options in their privacy and security section, make sure you review them and set to the level you desire. Recent browsers also enable you to restrict websites from tacking your movements, increasing your privacy and security

  1. 2.Update your computers regularly!

Computers today roll out updates regularly to their operating systems. These can be important security patches and bug fixes for the operating system and you may be compromised if you don’t install them. It’s always a wise option to keep automatic updates on for all the software or use a freeware like Filehippo update checker to check for software updates.
