Solutions QuickBooks Error code 15101

Follow the below given steps in order to troubleshoot the QuickBooks error code 15101:

Step 1: Install Digital Signature Certificate

  •          Search for (x86)\Intuit\QuickBooks XX. XX rin C:\Program Files.
  •          Now type QBW32.exe in the search box on the top right corner and right-click on QBW32.
  •          Go to Properties and then Digital Signatures.
  •          Select Intuit from the list and click on Details.
  •          Click on View Certificate and then Install Certificate.


  •          Keep clicking Next on the upcoming windows until you see the Finish tab.
  •          Click Finish
  •          After the import was successful. Restart your computer
  •          Open QuickBooks Desktop and try to download the updates again.

 

Step 2: Run reboot.bat

  •          Perform this step to re-register .DLL and .OCX and other product files in Windows.
  •          Close QuickBooks.
  •          Right-click on QuickBooks icon and select Properties.
  •          Under Shortcut tab, tap on Open File Location.
  •          Find reboot.bat or reboot file in the list.
  •          Do a right-click on reboot.bat and select Run as admin.
  •          Click Yes to allow user account permission window.
  •          CMD window will pop up and different files will start scrolling.
  •          Restart your computer
  •          Open QuickBooks Desktop.
  •          Click Install Now if you are prompted to install the latest updates (if not, download the updates manually).

 

Step 3: Check Internet Explorer Settings

  •          Open Run window (press Windows and R keys) on the keyboard and type in INETCPL.CPL and click OK.
  •          Select the General tab, click on Delete and select Temporary Internet Files and Website Files.
  •          Press Delete again.
  •          Click on the Connections tab and then on LAN settings.
  •          Detect settings and press OK.
  •          Click on the Advanced tab, go to the security section and make sure TLS 1.2 is checked and TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 unchecked.

 

Step 4: Uninstall and Reinstall QuickBooks Desktop
