Step 5: Choose the Windows OS that you want to reinstall. In general, you will be given the choice of just one OS and you need to click on ‘1’ key.

Note: If Linux was your first OS and Windows as the 2nd OS, then press the number according to OS that needs to be replaced.

Step 6: Choose the C:/ drive partition or any other drive, in which the installation was done earlier. This will remove the old copy of Windows completely; replacing it with a fresh one. Run the process, which will format the selected drive, while reinstalling Windows on your Acer Aspire computer.

Step 7: Request Acer for a recovery CD if the option, Alt+F10 is not working. You will get it in ‘Acer Support’ within the ‘Additional Resources Section.’ Now follow the same steps as decribed by inserting the CD in the drive.
