*** Lost Files Recovery Requirements ***
- Formatted, already used and reusable Disk Drive (DD)
- Windows that programs can be installed in (Temp folder reading)
- Processor from Core Quad and more is a plus !
- Recuva : https://www.piriform.com/recuva/download/portable (It have Free & Professional editions but Professional is faster and also have more features)
*** Recovery Settings ***
- Extract the archive (rcsetup153.zip) into a new folder using WinRar or 7-Zip (Winrar : www.rarlabs.com < choose your version there > ; 7-Zip : www.7-zip.org .
- Insert your DD.
- Open rcsetup153 folder & double click in "recuva.exe" if your Windows is 32 bits or "recuva64.exe" if your Windows is 64 bits, if you don't know which one just find Computer (Microsoft Windows 7 & 8) or This PC (Microsoft Windows 8.1 and 10) or Work Station (Windows XP & Vista) and click proprieties, in processor (XP and Vista) or System Type (Windows 7+) you'll see 32 or 64 ! Double click the file that match your system !
- Tick the "Do not show this Wizard on startup" (without quotes) and click Cancel.
- Click Options and in that window remove the check mark from "Automatically check for updates to Recuva" (Without quotes)
- Click in the second Tab (Actions)
- In that page Tick these ones and click OK :
- Show securely overwritten files
- Deep Scan (increases scan time)
- Restore folder structure
*** Recovery Process ***
- OK, first let's choose what type of files we want to recover : Click on the Drop-Down list in the search box (with search icon) and choose your desired file type or you can even search for specific file extensions ! Example : we put *.mp4 and it will search for all files with extension mp4 (videos) or we can put *.exe and it will search for all windows applications that was stored before and now with File sorts and health (Red = Unrecoverable, Orange/Yellow = Partially recoverable, Green = Recoverable completely)
