How to Reactivate or Unlock a Temporarily Locked Facebook Account?

by Alex Smith Software Manager

It is very frustrating when your Facebook account is temporarily locked and you can’t do much about it. Facebook is a platform which we can’t live without in today’s world. So, if your Facebook account is temporarily locked, then you have a couple of options to get out from it.

Here are the reasons why your account might get locked.

  • Your Facebook account is reported for illegitimate activities on the platform which are not allowed by Facebook.

  • You’ve received multiple warnings from the Facebook team regarding the behaviour on the platform.

  • Your account has been reported for the suspicious activities in the past.

  • You’ve tried to add too many friends on Facebook and the platform considers it spam.

Solution

There are a couple of solutions you can try to unlock your Facebook account. Here is the list:

Wait for Some Time – You can wait for some time if the Facebook team has locked you out of your account. The reprimand period for such offences is 96 hours, just wait them out. You shouldn’t try to login to the account any time soon or the hours will reset and you have to wait for another 96.

Submit a Request – If your Facebook account is locked by mistake or miscommunication, then you can send in a request to unblock the account. For that, you have to open the ‘My personal account was disabled’ Facebook help page. Once you are on that page, submit all the details and also attach a government ID to help them identify your account.

So, these are the ways to reactivate or unblock a temporarily locked Facebook account without any hassle.
