How to Protect Yourself from Germs in a Public Steam Room
When you want to rest and release all your stresses, a steam bath is good for you. But when using public steam rooms, there are things that you should observe to avoid getting viruses or illnesses. And due to a number of people using the steam room, you have to protect yourself from bacteria and germs while also keeping the room clean for communal use.
Towels
Don’t sweat your clothes. You can be naked but it is better to use a towel to cover yourself. It does not only cover your body but it also prevents the spread of bacteria. It serves as a shield between your body and the steam room surfaces.

Swimsuit
You may swim on your own sweat but wearing a swimsuit in a steam room is ideal if you are not comfortable not wearing anything at all. Choose a swimsuit that does not have metal fasteners or designs because it can become too hot if exposed to the heat of the steam room and it might burn your skin.

Footwear
It’s okay to come to the steam room barefoot but of course, it is not good for your health. The germs and bacteria that you acquire outside while heading to the steam room barefoot can be added to the moist environment of the steam room which is good for bacterial reproduction.
