How to prepare for SSC CGL exam

In 2015, there are a few changes in the SSC CGL combined graduation level tier 1 as well as tier 2 examination pattern along with its syllabus. All the students who are going to appear in these examinations must take a look and must take a look on the changes that are going to be in that exam pattern. There are going to be some changes from previous year pattern.

The changes that are being introduces in SSC CGL graduate level examination pattern and syllabus are being described as below-

Staff selection commission (SSC) conducts combined graduate level (CGL) competitive exam which is being conducted in three stages. The examination can be also divided into 3 tiers that are being mentioned as below;

1.       Combined Graduate Level (Preliminary) Examination i.e., Tier-1

2.      Combined Graduate Level (Main) Examination i.e., Tier-2

3.      Personal Test and interview

How you can prepare for SSC CGL examination-

Nowadays there is a tough competition you must do some hard work with full dedication so as to crack the SSC CGL examination. You have to study smartly rather than doing the hard work. You can find the SSC CGL tier 2 paper 1 notifications on the official website of the examination. You can also find many books on the internet that will guide you well to study for the SSC CGL examination.

SSC CGL tier 2 syllabus-

Paper 1: General studies- the questions that are being asked in this paper will include the general awareness along with general intelligence and reasoning ability.

Paper 2: English language- the test includes the understanding of English language by the candidate along with its correct usage and writing ability. There may be questions on paragraph writing and report writing.

Paper 3: Arithmetic-the paper will include the questions on trouble related to number style, decimals and fraction, relationships between numbers, computation of whole numbers, fundamental arithmetical operations, percentage, ratio and proportion etc.

Paper 4: language comprehension- this basically includes the candidate’s ability to understand English along with comprehension and writing ability.

Paper 5: communication skill/ writing ability- this basically include the ability to understand Hindi or English language along with comprehension and the writing ability. The examination may also include questions on short essay, précis, letter writing etc.

Paper 6: Hindi- this examination checks the ability of understanding and the knowledge of Hindi language along with tis usage and the writing ability would be tested as well. This paper may also include short essays, paragraphs, report writing, grammar etc.
