A lawyer is a person who can give the best legal decision. He is such a person who can give the best advice on matters related to dispute, violation of copyrights or on infringement of laws. Earlier law used to confine itself within the four doors of property, marriage, criminal and business; but now it covers a wide range of areas such as share market, copyright, health, military and many more. It is more than a necessity in each of our lives now.

Being a lawyer is a very respectable profession and at the same time is quite risky as the lives of many people are involved in it. It all depends on that single person to provide justice to people. He needs to have a general idea about all the acts and the legal solution for any case that falls under his expertise. In order to be a professional lawyer it is necessary to study law from a reputed law institute. But before that it is necessary to appear in various entrance examinations that evaluates the eligibility of the candidates for studying law.

There are various law exams that are conducted across India from time to time and one of them is the Common Law Admission Test. The exam is held on an all India basis level in order to find eligible candidates for getting admission to the top law institutes of the country. Before the introduction of CLAT, numerous examinations were conducted by all such law schools that were an autonomous body; but that was quite a hectic task as the dates often used to clash with other major entrance examinations conducted at that time. It was then when the CLAT was introduced for the first time.

Apart from CLAT, there are numerous other examinations that are conducted and one of them is the Delhi University LLB Entrance Exam 2014. It is conducted every year in the month of May by Delhi University, one of the top reputed universities in India. In order to be eligible for the exam, the candidate should pass higher secondary examination with 50% marks from a recognized board. This year it will be held in the month of May. Applications for the exam are available online and can be downloaded from the official site.

GK for Law Exams should be very strong. This is one subject where a candidate can score the maximum marks. Preparing for the subject is quite easy. It requires a candidate to have a very good idea about the current events and the general awareness related to the field of law. Questions related to current political events and sports generally come in the examination. The best way to prepare is to keep a track of all the news that is published every day. Hence, it is important to read the newspapers. There a number of GK books that is available in the market, reading these books can give a good idea about the type of questions that usually come in the exams.
