Understanding different bank jobs

There are different positions that are available in a bank. You can be a Clerk or Single Window Operator, Probationary Officer or a Specialist Officer in a bank. All of these have different eligibility conditions, job profile and salaries. It therefore goes without saying that preparing for each of these different exams will be different as well. Decide which job in a bank suits you best. As mentioned already, the level of knowledge and banking awareness will be commensurate to the position you qualify for or the salary you get subsequently.

Preparation is very important

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection has unified all examinations regarding bank officials. You can take one common exam and apply to all bank recruitments. Previously there used to be different exams for every bank. Now, one single exam known as a common writing exam conducted by the IBPS has made things a lot easier. However, do remember that preparation is very important your banking awareness has to be very high, especially because you are aiming to become a bank official. Prepare early, take no chances and string them your reasoning abilities, English, general awareness and computer knowledge. Quantitative aptitude and numerical reasoning must also be strong.
