At present, every schools and colleges allot students with number of written task either in the form of assignment, project, report or any other medium. Even the teachers are well aware that students detest doing these many written work, still with the verge to improve their performance; assignments are allotted to them.

Yes, if students discuss this matter of overloaded work with their parents, they are sure to get only one response “assignment is for your betterment”. Everybody knows that assignment helps students in several ways but the matter is not for 1 or 2 assignment handed to them, it’s more about the increased number of work that creates pressure and stress in their mind.

So, here are few tips that can help students deal with the increased anxiety for number of assigned works.

Awareness: Most of the time students tend to bunk lectures or due to any specific reasons they fail to attend the class. So, in any case it is important to have idea about the important points delivered by the teacher. Moreover, unable to attend class is not a major problem, rather remaining updated about the class hour is a necessity. So, students need to discuss with their friends, possibly the next day that whether any important points are delivered in the class or if any assignment is allotted by the teacher.

Most of the students misses to get this information from their friends or classmate and they remain unaware about the assigned work. At the very end moment, nearer to the submission date the works get piled up and they fail to organize their schedule. Hence, the foremost thing is being aware of the assignment, projects, report given in the class.

Start right from the beginning: Once students are ascertained with their topic of assignment, they need to work right from the beginning. Keeping the work piled up for the very last moment can increase the stress level resulting in incomplete work or unorganized content. So, rather than waiting for the specified date, it is far better to start working on the given assignment from the very beginning.

Proper organization: Starting or working on several assignment at once can be confusing. The chances of mixing up the information is increased and students can go directionless in the middle of their work. Yes, if more than one assignment knocks your doorbell in a single day, first have details on all the assignment, like the content required, books to be referred, time of submission and note them down. Once done with the details, students can now start up with the assignment that they find easy. This will increase the length of time for those assignment that requires more of the attention and research. They will exactly have the idea on other assignment and time left in their hand or they can even go vice versa, which is starting with the difficult assignment and then going for the easy one. Moreover, to be organized is the most significant thing.

Suggestion: Sometime, students may not have enough materials or information for the assigned work. At that moment, keeping the search on for the material is not a good idea, rather going to the respective teacher and discussing about the problem would be rather better. They will either suggest the necessary text- books where students can find the desired information or else they will provide the basic information on the topic so that idea on the assigned task is generated.

Writing: Never start the given work under pressure. This will ruin the content and students are sure to be marked with low- grade. So, working with assignment requires fresh mind that results in innovated ideas.

Grab the full benefit of given assignment: Undoubtedly, assignments always serve a benefit for students, so rather than initiating it nearer to the submission date; it would be far easy to begin it once assigned, this will help to get the detailed idea on the topic and students can nail that portion in their examination.

Student’s hard-work will pay off with good grade and appreciation for the teachers. Most importantly, one thing that they need to be clear is that copied information can never upgrade their grade or make their assignment praiseworthy.
