How to Make Most Out of Your Chicago Trip in Just One Day?

Chicago, The Windy City is full of culture and history. The birthplace of the skyscraper, Chicago is also known for its green spaces that are worth exploring. No matter what you have in your mind, where you want to go and what you want to, you will surely appreciate Chicago’s Midwestern allure.

With a mix of modern and traditional buildings, Chicago always grabs the attention of tourists all over the world. Whether it is your first visit or fourth, you can pursue this one-day itinerary to make the most out of what Chicago has to offer.

Before You Land at Chicago

Look for the cheap flights to Chicago and make your trip affordable. If you are planning to visit Chicago by car, you can consider car rental or ride your own. After landing at Chicago, you have many options to choose if you want to make your stay comfortable.

Morning around 7:30 AM

Get up early and take advantage of the morning in one of the best cities in the United States. You can go for a leisurely jog along the Chicago Riverwalk. You will pass by the stunning architecture and see the boats cruising up and down the Chicago River. Explore the surrounding while jogging and keep yourself entertained. Then, come back to the hotel, take a bath, get ready to have breakfast and leave the hotel around 10 AM.

10 AM and Noon

Make your way to Cindy’s for a tasty meal. You can make a reservation in advance to slake your taste buds here. After that, make your mood to explore Chicago architecture and history for at least two to three hours. To save your time, prepare a list of attractions that allure you. This way you will never miss the best of Chicago.

Around 4 PM

Now, get ready to have a taste of delicious food at amazing Chicago’s restaurants. After having some tasty bites, you can go for shopping. If shopping is not your choice, head to Greek Town and enjoy a climbing class at Chicago’s Brooklyn Boulders. Take a few pictures in front of the Chicago Water Tower and make your evening even more enjoyable.

Around 7 PM

Find the best restaurants near you and have delicious food to tame your taste buds. After that, you can enjoy music festivals like the Chicago Jazz Festival, Chicago Blues Festivals, Pitchfork Music Festival, and Riot Fest.

Around 10 PM

Around 10 PM don’t go back to the hotel. Take a stroll through the Lincoln Park’s Broken Barrel Bar to enjoy late night noshes and local beers. Experience the vibrant nightlife and explore other spots that are famous during the night.

Spending a day in Chicago is not as boring as you think. In fact, you still can have the best time in one day. Now, follow this itinerary and make your visit memorable.
