How to make a Pack for Your Surgical Instruments!

Surgical Instruments are one of the most delicate things, and need too much protection while delivering it. I excite too much whenever I think about surgical packs, as I was having a dream of becoming a doctor. And you all know that surgical packs are the most important tools of a doctor, plus it is something which excites the doctors too much.

Well packing surgical instruments for re-use in future is not that much easy. It is the duty of the technicians at hospitals to first properly sterilize them and then pack them in a manner that it can be re-used properly. It is not that much easier task.

Well, let me first give you all about a brief idea about what things are there in a surgical pack. Frankly it includes the instruments which are going to be use at times of surgery by doctors and it normally includes the things like sterile drapes, the basic surgery instruments, gauze sponges, etc.

Well sterilization is one of the most important aspects of packing these surgical instruments. As per one of my friends who is a surgical instruments manufacturers, manufacturing surgical instruments is not a big deal, the deal is to sterilize them and pack them properly. Sterilizations of the instruments should be done with proper care and it should be done with the use of the pressurized steam, which too created in an autoclave. In case of instruments which needed sterilization on a low pressure, then it should be sterilized using plasma or it should be done with the help of gas sterilization.

Now tell me one thing? Why is it that much important to sterilize instruments properly and pack them in a good manner? Well frankly, you all should be aware about it, that it is too much crucial for the life of the patients. This is the reason why it should be known to all technicians who are working in a hospital and who need to perform this.

Well to be very frank, to start the process, the technician need to clean and dry the instruments very properly. Once washing is complete, you need to use an ultrasonic instrument to clean the same. It is highly preferable. Other than this you can also use some enzymatic solutions which are especially made for cleaning the surgical instruments.

Make sure that the solution which you are using to clean should have the natural PH otherwise it might put stains on the instruments.

The next step is to lubricate the instruments. Make sure that you should have the lubricant which is specially designed for the purpose. After lubricating the instruments give them proper time to dry.

Another most important thing, while packing the surgical instruments you should always take care of the counting of the items, as when doctors will open the pack they will count every item as for them it will be hard to believe as if they left one inside the body of the patient.
