Mold Accumulation

As mentioned earlier, the air conditions’ job is to remove the moist out of the fresh air that comes inside your vehicle. That moist will be trapped by the evaporator which will eventually drain on a tube out of your vehicle.

Check the underneath your car and you will see a bit of dampness on your evaporator. If not regularly check, molds will eventually accumulate which will result in a stinky or pungent odor on your car AC.

Keep Filters Clean

Whenever outside air is drawn inside your vehicle, it always comes with specks of dust, pollens and other elements which will pass through cabin air filters.

As time goes by, layers of dirt will create moist on your filter which will become a breeding ground for bacteria if it’s not cleaned regularly.

Aside from the bad odor, it can also cause asthma and other respiratory issues.

Check for Any Leak

Any leaks on your car air conditioning system may result in weak or no cool air blow. And leaks can be devastating. Any leaking should be fixed immediately to avoid more expensive repairs in the future.

When to Check?

Checking our car AC should not only happen before summer. However, it is also important to note that car AC works harder during that season.

Have your AC regularly check by an expert technician at least once a year.
