Crystal Chandeliers

The chandelier is one beautiful piece used to adorn any area. But crystal chandeliers are the most preferred ones with crystals hanging and shining like stars in the sky. When these crystal chandelier are clean they look even more tidy and reflect light in a better way. Cleaning crystal chandeliers is an arm twisting task which needs time and strategy. It can be done very quickly if you are ready with all the raw material.

First place this towels that can absorb easily on the floor. Cover all the electricity sockets with plastic or paper and secure them with a rubber band. Get hold of a crystal cleaner and lavishly spray it over the crystals. The dust and dirt will come out and then clean it with a soft cloth. Through this method you do not need to take the chandelier apart and put it back together.  





Chandelier Bulbs

Not just the chandelier but the bulbs fixed inside the chandelier also require to be cleaned. First switch off the power from the main switch so that it does not a pose a threat. Then take out all the bulbs carefully from its fixture. Clean these bulbs with a cloth and blow away the dust. Install the bulbs back on their place and switch on the light.



Ceiling Fixture

Before starting to clean the ceiling fixtures make sure they are completely cool. Then remove the screws and then keep the parts apart. In a tub, store some warm water with soap added. Dip the fixtures into that water for some minutes and then remove it. The dirt and dust will loosen and then you can clean them with a soft cloth. Dry them and install it again in their. Add ammonia to the water for quick results.


Lamp Bases

Lamp bases must be cleaned on a regular basis. The dirt accumulated on them can be easily removed if they are wiped with a sponge on a regular basis. Use cleaning products on them to polish. There are different cleaning available for different materials. Wood base lamps can be polished with lemon oil.



Light Bulbs

If you are not cleaning your light bulbs from time to time then you're wasting energy and money. As the energy is being used as compared to the results it is giving. To clean a light bulb, just use a sponge to wipe off all the dust and dirt. Dry the bulb and you plug it back on the fixture. You will be shocked to see the change in effect of light.
