b. Instead of clicking the link, type it in. Sometimes developers injects viruses to links, and by simply clicking, you can already get infected. Do this even when the link seems to be legit.

c. The key is constant vigilance. Never get tired of updating your software. You can do this by navigating through your help menu or with the help of some software that can be installed.

d. Control yourself from visiting porn sites. Yes, unfortunately, it's a gold mine of viruses. The more you visit it the more you are exposed to malware and viruses.

e. If you suspect a pop-up browser contains a virus, it's better to hit Alt+F4 instead of clicking the close button. This is because most close buttons are part of the browser, thus, can give you virus.

2. Never Pass the Word

The system tells us to create a password that is easy to remember, but it didn’t tell us to create something that is easy to crack. You can do more than "444444" or "godblessourhome". All you need is a little creativity. A strong password must consist of alphanumeric with symbols and combination of lowercase and uppercase text.

It will also help to have different password for various sites. Although it might be hard for you to remember each and every password, it will keep your remaining sites intact in case one gets cracked.

3. Keep Personal Computers Personal

Sometimes, although you’ve already done everything to protect yourself from malwares, there will be instances where someone or some kid will use your computer. And little did you know already exposed your PC from a virus. It won’t hurt to teach them some of the pointers below:

a. Teach them the proper usage of the compute - especially of your computer.

b. You can make a guest account for borrowers in order to secure your personal files. In that case if a virus gets in then, your immediate files are safe.
