How to identify and treat wastewater?

by Clear Ion Clear Ion Experts Pvt Ltd
Wastewater is a major concern these days as increasing levels of deforestation and other practices that have been going on against the environment are giving rise to various kinds of pollutants and those pollutants are further degrading the quality of every essential element be it water or air. But this generation of wastewater is not only because of these malpractices the problem of wastewater is also a result of the increment in the number of factories and advanced setup of those factories and industries.

Most of the procedures of manufacturing and supplying of most of the products are such that for the successful conduct of those it is very necessary to use a lot of water and also along with the output these industries and factories further produce a lot of wastewater. This huge amount of water that is produced as waste through the processes conducted at industries, factories and also in some cases domestic wastewater is produced all of it can be easily taken into reuse after treatment and reusing this type of water is the best way to fight against the worrisome issue of water scarcity.

Wastewater treatment is also required for maintaining the health of the environment we live in, as there are certain types of industries and factories that produce highly dangerous waste materials during the conduct of the procedures and all those waste materials then get mixed with the wastewater and if the water will be released into the environment along with those materials included then mixing of such water into the environment or in the water bodies can really be harmful to the lives breathing on Earth.

Here we will look into some points keeping them in mind it would become easier for the person to identify wastewater. Also, we will look into the different sources such as the different types of wastewater treatment plants through which a person would be able to get the identified wastewater treated efficiently and thus would be able to make it fit for further release into the environment and also for reuse.

The classification of the wastewater goes as follows:

Industrial wastewater.
Domestic wastewater.

Points to be noted for the identification of domestic wastewater are as follows:

The water would include phenols and other such toxic materials.
Also, the wastewater coming out of homes would include odors, fats, carbohydrates, proteins, bacteria, algae, and other such viruses.

Industrial wastewater identification:

There is nothing permanent that could be taken into consideration as an identification point for the wastewater coming out of the industries it is so because different types of industries are involved in different types of manufacturing and supplying procedures, therefore, every industry produces a different kind of waste. So, one can say that there is no generalized way of identifying industrial wastewater.

Now that we have discussed the points of identification associated with the wastewater we should now move to the discussion of sources through which this wastewater can be treated.
In the below list we will discuss all the various types of plants that have been designed and manufactured for the purpose of treating the wastewater so that it can be put to further use without any sort of doubts

The various types of plants available for the conduct of wastewater treatment are as follows:

Sewage treatment plant.
Effluent Treatment Plant.
Common and combined effluent treatment plant.
The sewage treatment plants are generally used for the treatment of water that comes out of the domestic complexes or the homes of the people. These plants are known for separating the sewage from the water so that it becomes fit to be taken into further reuse.

The effluent treatment plant is actually much more advanced in terms of techniques and features and therefore this type of wastewater plant is mainly used for the treatment of the water that is released out of the industries the best example of the industry where the effluent treatment plant is used is the pharmaceutical industry.

The common combined effluent treatment plant in India is actually designed to be used at the small scale factories and industries that cannot afford the huge effluent treatment plants. With a motive of controlling the water pollution, the government provides funds to the small scale industrialists of a particular area to get a common treatment plant installed in their area for proper treatment of the wastewater that is coming out of those small scale industries.
