For Windows XP users:

·         If you are using Windows XP, perform the steps mentioned below:

·         The first step is to close QuickBooks Desktop. 

·         Then, from the desktop, right-click My Computer and select Manage.

·         Hover over the Services & Applications tab, and then select Services. Now the Services window will open.

·         Scroll down and double-click the Intuit QuickBooks FSC service to open the Intuit QuickBooks FCS Properties window.

·         Then click on the General tab, select the Startup type drop-down list and select the Manual option.

·         Next reopening QuickBooks Desktop.

·         Download QuickBooks Desktop product updates.

·         Update the Social Security fee table

·         Hover over Employees, and then click Get Payroll Update.

·         Select Download full payroll update.

·         Select the Update tab.

·         During the download, a message will display new tax tables and/or updates to your payroll tax form that have been installed on your computer.

·         Complete the process by clicking OK to read the changes that will be displayed on your screen.
