How to Fix Downloading Issue in Microsoft Store

Do you want to download an app from the Microsoft Store of your Windows computer but it fails to download? Maybe the problem is with the Store. By doing these simple things, you can fix the issue. Here is what you’ve to do and how.

Change your PC’s date and time settings

1.     Activate the ‘Search bar’ of your computer.

2.    Enter ‘Date and Time’ into it.

3.    Open the above ‘Date and Time’ result. You can also click ‘Change the date and time’ option.

4.    Click the ‘Change date and time’ button.

5.    Allow administrator access.

6.    Now, set the current date and time.

7.    Click the ‘Change time zone..’ option to select your time zone.

8.    After setting up, click ‘OK.’

9.    Go back and again activate ‘Search bar’ of your computer.

10.    Enter ‘Store’ into it.

11.    Open ‘Store’ from the top result.

12.    Click the downward facing arrow at the left side of the search bar.

13.    Under ‘Downloads and updates,’ check your downloads.

14.    Resume the pending downloads or download new items.

If the date and time setting is the problem, then it will fix, and you can download the apps you want.

Update current apps

1.    Activate the ‘Search bar’ of your computer.

2.    Enter ‘Store’ into it.

3.    Click the ‘Profile’ icon on the left side of the search bar.

4.    Select ‘Downloads and updates.’

5.    Click ‘Check for updates’ button below to the search bar.

6.    Wait for the apps to update. This will take a few minutes to apply updates.

If your apps were the problem, then it will get fixed and you can download the apps you want.

Sign out of your Microsoft Store

1.    Open ‘Microsoft Store’ app on your computer.

2.    Click the ‘Profile’ icon on the left side of the search bar.

3.    Click on your Microsoft account name at the top of the menu.

4.    On the pop-up, again click on your Microsoft account name.

5.    Click the ‘Sign out’ option just below your account name. This will sign out your account from the Store.

6.    On the Store main page, again click the ‘Profile’ icon.

7.    Click on ‘Sign in’ option at the top of the menu.

8.    Select your Microsoft account it should be on the top.

9.    Enter the password associated with your account. This will sign in your account again in the Store.

10.    Click the ‘Profile’ icon.

11.    Under ‘Downloads and updates,’ check your downloads.

12.    Resume the pending downloads or download new items.

If the problem is fixed, you can download the apps you want.

Reset your Store’s cache

1.    Close the ‘Store’ app, if opened.

2.    Go back to the desktop.

3.    Tap ‘Win + R’ key on the keyboard. This will open the Run program.

4.    Enter ‘wsreset’ into the Run window.

5.    Click ‘OK.’ This will open the ‘Windows Store Reset,’ you can also open it from the Start menu search bar.

6.    Wait until the Command prompt will not close. Once it closes, this means the Store cache has been cleaned.

7.    Open the ‘Store’ app.

8.    Click the ‘Profile’ icon.

9.    Under ‘Downloads and updates,’ check your downloads.

10.    Resume the pending downloads or download new items.

If the Store’s cache were the problem, then it will get fixed and you can download the apps you want.
