How to File a Complaint Against a Credit Card Company?

by Kanika Goyal Online Consumer Forum
If you have a complaint against a credit card company, there are several options available to you:

File a complaint with the company: Contact the credit card company directly and explain your issue. Most companies have a customer service department that can assist you.

Contact the bank that issued the credit card: If the credit card is issued by a bank, you can also file a complaint with the bank.

File a complaint with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI): The RBI is the central bank of India and oversees the banking sector, including credit card companies. You can file a complaint with the RBI through its grievance redressal system.

File a complaint with the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC): The NCDRC is a national-level forum for resolving consumer disputes. If your complaint is not resolved to your satisfaction, you can file a complaint with the NCDRC.

File a complaint with the Credit Information Companies (CICs): If your complaint involves the handling of your credit information, you can file a complaint with the Credit Information Companies (CICs) in India.

It is recommended to first attempt to resolve the issue directly with the credit card company or bank before filing a complaint with regulatory bodies. If your issue is not resolved through these channels, you can escalate your complaint to the relevant authorities.
