How to end a serious relationship

Getting into a relationship may be a wonderful thing, but coming out of it is often a difficult task to do, especially if you are the one initiating the break-up. Most of us confide in our friends and consider them our dating guides while in a relationship and keep asking for tips to make it work, my friend chose to ask me how to end her relationship with her partner in the best possible way. In many circumstances, there is no point in taking a relation ahead and the best way to maintain your sanctity is by ending it. But it can always be in a way that it’s not too hard upon the person to whom you break the news.

Tip 1:

Do not make it abrupt. For that, tell your partner you need to discuss something important and take out a time to sit and talk. Do not go to a public place to do so, that’s the worst thing you can do. Also, ending it in a telephone conversation or by sending a text message, you are only inviting trouble for your partner and you in moving on peacefully in life. Sit and talk it out somewhere where there is no one else to interrupt.

Tip 2:

Do not do it while having a fight. Even if you had this thing in your mind for a while, do notblurt in out while having a row. This will worsen things as your partner would think it is a result of the fight and that things would be better with sometime. He/she will try and convince you back to the relationship. Also, this might result in your partner having a serious emotional setback.

Tip 3:

Tell your partner the reasons. Give him/her the reasons of why you are doing it. A person deserves to know why a relationship is being ended. Tell things as honestly as possible and do not go for an argument, it should be a discussion. Most dating tips talk about being honest in a relationship, I would suggest being honest while breaking it off as well.

Tip 4:

Be firm with your decision. If you know you cannot survive the relation them talk with the motive of ending it. It is a pathetic thing to see your partner breaking down or trying to coax you back into it, asking for one more opportunity to make it work. You will have to be strong enough to turn your face away from all such things and just end it right there, without any false hopes.
