How to Effectively Send Text Messages for Your Marketing?

by Green Text Tele Communication
According to the census bureau of the United States, the total number of mobile phones in the world has already reached over 6.8 billion in 2013. This reflects an important note regarding our way of life nowadays. Most of the times, people are looking down on their phone reading text messages, e-mails, posts or just surfing the web. You can even send messages, not only from a mobile phone, but from your computer as well. In this regard, using it to market your business would be a good strategy. However, how are you going to use this effectively?

Don’t be the usual!

There are rules in SMS Marketing. This is because you need to keep in mind that other vendors of either a product or service are doing the same too. Hence, when a person receives similar messages over and over again, the usual tendency is to just ignore the subsequent SMS that he or she will receive. The lesson here is to be unique. One way to do this is to package your message in a way that recipients will not consider it as spam. Specifically, you should be believable and credible. The approach can be inductive, where you can start your message with something that the target recipients can relate to.

Know the right timing

All people with mobile phones use Text Messaging Service on different scales. Some use it often while some are utilizing it seldom. Aside from that, we also have different patterns of utilization of such service. Therefore, you should be sensitive as to the timing of your marketing activities through SMS. The objective would be to send SMS in the most appropriate time that is conducive for the recipients. For example, you should never send marketing messages while most of your recipients are on their way to work, right? This is because your message will most likely be disregarded.

Keep the message catchy and short

SMS Marketing could be challenging because you need to keep it short and catchy without being too flowery and “hard” cell. It should be balanced and combined with the tricks mentioned above. One way to get the attention of your target recipients is to begin your message with something relatable and not alien to them. However, this will require you to conduct a little research in profiling your market and recipients. This is if you really want your marketing efforts through SMS to be as effective as possible.
