Solution 2: Rename your QuickBooks User File

Follow the steps given below for this method:

Step 1: Launch the Windows File Manager and go to the QuickBooks folder.

You can find the folder in the C drive at \Users\ [user name]\ AppData\ Local\ Intuit\ QuickBooks.

Step 2: Find and right-click on the QBWUSER.INI file to open a drop-down menu.

Step 3: From this drop-down menu, select the option that says ‘Rename’.

Step 4: Proceed to type ‘.OLD’ at the end of your file name and save the file.

Step 5: Try to launch your QuickBooks again to see if you managed to get rid of the Bex error yet.
