How To Download Vimeo Videos:

Vimeo is an online video sharing platform which permits the user to watch, share, discover, create and sell videos. It comprises different kinds of video formats such as AVI, HD and SD, MP4, MPEG 1 and 2, MP4, FLV, and MOV. The Original, untranscoded source files can be stored on Vimeo by Plus, PRO, and Business members as long as they maintain the paid subscription. They can also make the original file downloadable to other members. Basic plan members can also download the source files prepared available by Plus, PRO, and Business members, but they do not have the ability to share or store their own source files on Vimeo. If the source file is permanently deleted, then it is not possible to recover the deleted source files by changing the account settings or upgrading the account. Same is applicable for Videos uploaded via basic membership, Videos uploaded via API pull applications like Dropbox, Google Drive, One Drive, custom apps, etc prior to September 2016 and Plus, PRO, and Business members who haven’t enabled source file storage in their account settings. Users can download Vimeo videos in Windows by right-clicking on the link and need to select “Save as” or “Save target as” option. Mac users need to press the Control key on the keyboard and then click on the link to choose “Save link as” or “Download linked file" option.

Setting Permissions For Download Vimeo:

Now the option of download vimeo videos can be done only if the user permits. If the user wants to set privacy for the videos to avoid others downloading it, they can visit Video Settings page, then by clicking the Privacy tab and need to uncheck the box present next to “Download the video” and save. This will help in preventing other members from downloading the respective video. But the video owner will have access to the download button on the video page. Privacy access can be changed at any time to protect the video uploaded and also download can be enabled anytime.
