How to create or edit a hyperlink in Office 365?

Office 365, the latest productivity suite from Microsoft is loaded with bunch of features that makes it easy for its users to work in real-time, chat with the co-workers, adding links to the stored files, turning OneNote items into Outlook calendar events, and other such tasks quite easy.

Apart from these features, adding or creating a hyperlink to a location in the current document or another document is also very simple. Here, in this article, we have provided you with the steps to do the same. Have a look:

(The steps given to create or edit a hyperlink are applicable for the Microsoft Word 365 or Microsoft Outlook 365 application, a part of your Office setup 365. You can create a hyperlink that connects to a Word doc, to Outlook email message that incorporates bookmarks or heading styles, to slides as well as custom shows in presentations, and to sheets/cells in spreadsheets, respectively.) 

Steps to create a hyperlink to a location in the current doc:

1.       Choose the text or picture you want to make a hyperlink on

2.       Open the Insert tab from the menu bar and click Hyperlink

a.       Or, right-click the text/picture and choose Hyperlink from the options

3.       Click Place in This Document under Link To

4.       From the list, choose the Heading, Bookmark, Cell, or Custom Show

Steps to create a hyperlink to a location in another document:

1.       Choose the text or picture you want to make a hyperlink on

2.       Open the Insert tab from the menu bar and click Hyperlink

a.       Or, right-click the text/picture and choose Hyperlink from the options

3.       Under Link to, hit Existing File or Web Page

4.       Press the down arrow key in the Look In box

5.       Search and then choose the file to which you want to link

6.       Hit Bookmark and choose the bookmark, custom show, heading or the other option

7.       Hit Ok and it’s done!
