How to connect Echo Dot to wifi?

You always start your Echo dot setup by charging. Plug the given USB cable into the socket of the device. Plugin the standard USB end into the adapter and then put it into the wall plug. Try to ensure that the Echo Dot is in the center of the room. This helps the device to hear you properly from any corner of the room. Not to worry as the echo dot already comes with 7 inbuilt microphones. So it will hear you anyways. Once your Echo Dot setup, you will see a blue light. Then the light will turn into an orange ring after initialization and Alexa will let you know that you’re ready to go online.
Using your Amazon Echo Dot
Firstly download Alexa app. You will have to use a computer, smartphone or tablet to set up your device, as the Echo Dot doesn’t come with a screen. Start by installing the Amazon Alexa app on your device. Alexa app is available on Android smartphones/ ios devices. Now log in to Alexa app if you are an existing user, otherwise create a new account. Once you log in to your account, a list of available Echo devices will be shown. Select the ‘Echo Dot’ option and confirm your language. Click the connect to the Wi-Fi option and then press ‘Continue.’ Echo Dot Wi-Fi App Set your phone will now try to connect to your Echo Dot.
There are 3 options available-
1) Audio cable
2) Bluetooth
3)No speakers.
You will be allowed to connect a device via Bluetooth or audio cable by the echo dot. Better audio is provided by the audio cable. If you don't want any of these options then you can just use Dot’s speakers instead. Hurray! The Amazon Alexa Setup is now complete! Now You can get some useful video tips by the app on using your Alexa device. You can also see some sample commands. Using Alexa After completing the setup process you will also be offered some free trials from Prime Music and Amazon Prime.
You can add some skills and set up basic Alexa commands. Your Echo is now ready, so you can talk to it. The word that you will use to give commands is ‘Alexa.’ Follow it with a command. For example, you can say ‘Alexa, how the weather now?’ and the Echo will give you the weather details. You’ll be surprised by the functions Alexa can perform. Additional Information
