How To Configure Roadrunner Email Settings For Android And iphone?

by Tom Wilson Roadrunner Email

Roadrunner email, also known as TWC email and now named Spectrum email is still in use by a large volume of users. With the shift to spectrum.net, the users need to know the revised TWC email settings. This article will guide you on the Roadrunner email settings through IMAP, POP, and SMTP servers on your android devices and iPhones.

Setup & Configure Twc Email Settings On Android

The TWC email settings have to be modified slightly with the shift in the email extension. The followings changes in the parameters have to be made:

Email App Installation

You will have to download and install the email app on your android device. Any trustworthy email app can be used. It is not recommended to install third-party apps from miscellaneous websites. Microsoft Outlook, for example, is a good email app that can be used. The UI of this app is simple and can be trusted amongst the many other apps available. Gmail app is also a good alternative, but first-time users may face some difficulty in the first setup.

Set-up & Configure Email Gateway

  • Open the installed email application.

  • Enter the complete Roadrunner email id in the username.

  • After entering the username, select the “Setup Manually” option.

  • Enter your full username and password.

  • Enable Advanced Settings and you will get options for IMAP and other settings. Usually, Microsoft Outlook will do the job for you. But if the settings cannot be automatically detected, then you can enter the IMAP server and port details.

After verifying all the credentials and the changes in the settings that you have made, your email will be automatically synced with the email app. You can use the email app normally after the details get verified. Make sure to enable the sync feature so that you get emails in real-time. You can send and receive emails normally from now on.

Setup And Configure Twc Email Settings On iPhone

Setting up and configuring the TWC email settings remains almost similar to the process for Android devices.

  1. You can either install an email app from the Play Store or use the default email app on your iPhone. In most cases, the default email app is better as its UI is simple.

  2. Setup and configure the TWC email settings similar to the process done for Android devices. Your default app should be able to figure out the setting automatically or you can enter the details manually as mentioned above.

  3. Your email is synced and now you can send and receive email normally on the email app on your iPhone.

 Final Thoughts

As you may have observed, setting up TWC email settings is quite easy on both Android and iPhone. The process may seem similar but it is the values that differ so pay attention to the credentials you enter manually.
