Spilling wax on the upholstery sound like actual disaster but it's not so terrible, I could say that it's very easy if you know how to clean it properly.

What you need:

  1. Ice
  2. Plastic bag
  3. Spoon or butter knife
  4. Paper tower
  5. Iron
  6. Some kind of alcohol or mouth water
  7. Hydrogen Peroxide

What to do - step by step instructions from professionals in domestic cleaning Leicestershire:

  1. Fill the bag with ice and put it on the wax stain to freeze it. Scrape off the wax with the butter knife but be very careful to not damage the upholstery.
  2. Cover the place with paper tower.
  3. Turn on the iron on medium high and rub it over the paper. This way the wax will soak in the paper tower. Repeat with clean piece of paper until all the wax is resolved.
  4. If there is any trace of stain you can wet a cotton cloth with alcohol or clear mouth water. Try it first on some hidden place and if there is no damage, rub the stain.
  5. If the stain is stubborn and still appear you can try to remove it with hydrogen peroxide but don't forget to try it on a hidden place because it can bleach the upholstery fabrics. If it's safe, spill some on the stain and let it stay 15 minutes. After that, dry with a cotton cloth.

When you are trying to remove some stubborn stains be very carefully to not damage your favorite sofa. Always test the method you choose to use on some place where can't be viewed.
