How To Check Second-Hand Cars Condition

by Lets Droom Digital Marketing
It is not easy to get a used car in perfect condition unless you are ready to pay a massive amount for a recent model. When most of the vendors say the car is in mint condition/ good condition, it means that the car is ready to use and can be used to travel a couple of miles. To be honest, the vendor will never tell you the flaws of the car; it is up to you how you find them.

Here are some tips you can use to check the condition of the second-hand car:

There are majorly three parts in which you can check a second-hand car in and out.

•Part one: Exterior check: The exterior of a used car can be deceiving especially if the car is too old. The first thing you have to do is check the paint of the car; look for dents, holes and rust patches. If there are any additional vinyl’s on the body of the car look at them closely as they can be a cover-up for holes and cracks. Also look at the parts like windshield wipers, mirrors, lock and glasses if they look uneven or scratched there might be a chance that it was either replaced or the vehicle might have been in an accident.

•Part two: Interior check: The interior of the car are mostly ignored by people, but there are some things that might cost you a lot after the purchase. First look at the dashboard, check if all the buttons and dials are functioning well. The glove compartment and other storage points can be a creepy place and can also have breakage and damage which can increase your overall expenditure. Turn on functions like the AC, cabin light, music system, display (if any) and turn blinkers and see if all of them are working properly. Seat covers and floor mats can also be considered to increase the leverage while bargaining.

•Part three: Technical check: This is the last and the perhaps the most important part of the inspection/evaluation. Open the bonnet of the car and start with the engine first, check for any leakage which is normally indicated by brown stains on the engine, if there are no stains or patches it means that there is no leakage in the engine. Other components like belts, wires, oil levels and air filters need to be checked before closing down the bonnet as these small things can cause major damage to the engine or the car’s performance in the long run.

After you have checked all the above-mentioned parts, take the car for a test drive and see if the things like brakes, acceleration and handling function well, if they do and the car qualifies all the above test then the car is good to buy.
