It is based on my true story.
After been asked so many times " Lucien, why your scaffold brace lock pins are much high than others?", I am tired of saying ours is good quality, or different quality deserves different prices, and I want to prove what I said.
So I bought 10,000pcs scaffold brace lock pins from Hebei located supplier.
I was impressed with their prompt delivery--15 days, even we can aslo make it.
But after checking quality, mainly checking the size, eveness of cutting, milling of rotary slot, assembling of flip chip, I felt been cheated.
1. When I tried to adjust the flip chip into the center of the rotary slot, it drove me crazy for I just cannot made it! and you may say it is ok as it can be used.
2. How abour this one, I pushed it hard aginst the concrete floor to force the flip chip to be parallel with pin stem, but failed while my finger hurts!
3. This is about protrusion of flip chip rivet. Green marked left one shows the length of rivet is just the diameter of the stem, while Red marked is extruded, it will be harder for you to get the pin across the brace holes. And if the pin is powder coated after welded onto scaffold frame, extruded rivet will get more friction and scratches during usage, it will soon get rusty.
4. Eveness of cutting. If the stem bottom is not clear and even, it will affect the precision of pin welding position, and it also increase the space between vertical tube and pin, so the welded pin will not be that stable. You will find red marked pins bottom is not as straight as green ones.
5. Cross section. The cross section offer us a better picture about eveness of cutting, as red circles show, cross section in red is irregular, while green marked cross section is more like a oval, different cross section demonstrate different process technical.
Above is just viewable differences between outsourcing brace locked pins and ours, and I do not intend to compare their prices, as price is important, while quality and safety are critical, if you can also get the conclusion that " You get what you pay", then next time BEFORE purchasing of brace lock pins, you will tell yourself, "if there is something good while cheap, be careful!
