How to build a downline
How do you start to build a downline? If you use 0mlm or any other network marketing company you can view the leader boards and see people with 1000s of members in their downlines. Before we get started it’s time to show you mine, if you are apart of 0mlm you can see my downline in the back office but if you are not a member, how do you know that I’m credible and not just talking hot air. 0mlm has 5 levels and below you can see a live update of my downline via the 0mlm mobile site.
If you would like to visit this on your mobile phone then use the following url and feel free to reload this page every few minutes and see the member numbers increase.
Big, isn’t it! I get 100s of emails asking how I built this. So in this article I will tell you the secrets to repeating my success.
Making a start: Don’t look at the final numbers, don’t think I will never get over 10,000 members in my downline. Remember this very important point:
My downline started with just 1 person and that person was Ken Nairne, I signed Ken up because I had worked with him in the past on other network marketing / home business projects. Ken runs the 0mlm dating site: http://www.elitedating.dateer.com.
Once I had 1 person I was now twice as effective. Ken and I were both looking for new members to join 0mlm. From just a single sign up I could grow at twice the rate.
Some people you sign up will do nothing and still to this day I will never understand that. Why sign up and validate your account and then do nothing? You just have to accept this a part of life, there are people who are prepared to work and others that are not.
Find your own Ken: Not to insult Ken, but there are millions of people just like him. People who want to work on a project and understand the potential it can bring them, you just need to find your own. Ideally it should be someone you know, someone you have worked with before or even a friend or family member (Ken has recruited his son). Having a personal connection gives you confidence that they will work with you towards a common goal. Draw up a list of 25 people you could work with a get in touch with them, use the phone, meet face to face or use Skype, make the personal connection and once you have them, get them to join under you.
Your up and running: Having a person in your downline is a great start and now you are ready to grow. Nothing beats recruiting people via personal connections. May be from your list of 25 you can get a couple more, if so grab as many people as you can. Once you have exhausted people you know it’s time to move on to online promotion. But if you are still on zero people then you haven’t tried hard enough with your personal connections. If your a 0mlm member it’s 100% free so their are no excuses! Everybody knows someone who will have an interest in a free home business.
Communication: Never loose the connection with your starting team. When you move on to online promotion then tell each other what you are doing, what you are trying and every time you get a new sign up, share the information with your team.
Online promotion: Using the internet to grow your downline will start to accelerate your growth. But with that growth you will start to loose that personal connection with people. It becomes hard to communicate with 100s of people so keep your focus on your starting team and add the best of your new members to your inner circle.
Piggy back on the big boys: If you were selling umbrellas, where would you go? Would you stand on a quiet street corner? Or would you find the busiest place possible? The internet is just the same, alexa.com ranks websites and you can get a list of the top 500 sites. Go through the list and think, how can I use those sites to promote my business. Some will be impossible but with some lateral thinking you can take advantage of many of them. What follows now are some high level ideas for a number of the top sites online today and the only investment you need is time.
Facebook.com: Make a fan page for your mlm system of choice and share your mlm sign up information with your friends and on your wall. Visitors from Facebook covert at 12% on 0mlm, making every 100 visitors in to 12 sign ups.
Youtube.com: Produce a video blog about your mlm system or make a video review. The more professional the video, the better the effect. The conversion rate from Youtube visitor to 0mlm sign up is 8%, therefore 100 visitors equals 8 sign ups.
Blogger.com: Make a blog information page about mlm. Ensure you have a number of articles with 500+ words each and add banners and links to your mlm signup page. The more pages you have the more search traffic your site will produce.
Twitter.com: Simply write posts about home business and network marketing information and add details about your mlm every other day. You want to build relationships via Twitter, reply to people, use it for conversations. Don’t just use it to shout your sales pitch. Twitter visitors to 0mlm convert at 4%.
Linkedin.com: Add your mlm link to your profile. Mention your mlm in discussion groups that are related to MLM, Network Marketing and Affiliate Marketing. Linkedin visitors to 0mlm convert at 3%.
WordPress.com: This is a WordPress blog. You can run your own. Give people high quality information and links to your mlm. This is similar to Blogger, so once again plenty of high quality pages are required.
eBay.com: Produce a document that has some value which you can sell on ebay. Digital downloads are not allowed on ebay at present so sell your document on CDROM. Within ebay’s terms and conditions you can supply a URL with your terms and conditions which can generate you traffic as well as sales. If you produce a valuable document you essentially get paid to advertise.
Craigslist.org: Free advertising so use it, nothing more to add.
Myspace.com: Make a profile / page and include links to your mlm.
Dailymotion.com: Just like Youtube, add your video again.
StumbleUpon.com: Share your mlm link with the Stumble Upon community.
Vimeo.com: Just like Youtube, add your video again.
Reddit.com: Share your mlm link with the Reddit community.
Warriorforum.com: Join and share your network marketing experiences. This is the largest marketing forum in the world with thousands of people just like you. Be an expert and be professional, if people respect you, they will listen and follow your recommendations.
Digg.com: Share your mlm link with the Digg community.
EzineArticles.com: Write and share network marketing experiences including your mlm.
Be professional: Always ensure you offer professional advice and don’t spam people. If you offer value people will be interested.
Summary: Following these steps will help you repeat my success but ensure you start with a small team of dedicated people. Remember 1 person makes you twice as effective, 2 people make you three times as effective. If anyone in your downline contacts you and says:
I have tried everything and I cannot get anyone to sign up. Simply direct them to this page and if they follow this advice I 100% guarantee they will get sign ups to 0mlm.
There really are no excuses for having an empty downline so fill it up until it’s ready to burst!
