How having and owning gold watches has changed my life

I am one of those people who love owning good-looking accessories and generally looking smart all the time. However, I am also a traditionalist and I believe that some of the older materials that were used to make watches are better than the newer materials. In the past, I was resigned to having ordinary watches just like everyone else. However over the years, I have began to take a liking to gold watches (in Danish guldure) because of a number of reasons.

Uniqueness

One of the reasons why I have taken a liking to gold watches is because of the obvious uniqueness that they provide. Whenever I walk into any place, I can be sure that there will not be too many people wearing a watch similar to mine. This gives me a great sense of satisfaction because if I took my time trying to find the best watch, I want to have the satisfaction of being one of the few people wearing such a watch. Nothing is as frustrating as spending hours picking out a nice-looking watch and then later realizing there are so many other people wearing the same watch.

Durability

There are not so many watches that last longer or are more durable than gold watches. When I purchased my first watch made of gold, I was curious about how long I would use the watch before feeling the need to replace it. I ended up using the watch for a very long time and eventually I just gave it out to someone else just so I could buy a new one. If it wasn’t for the fact that I gave out my watch, I was surely going to wear it for an even longer time. A watch should be worn for a long time because it is one of those accessories that will always be an extension of one’s personality.

Personal engraving

Unlike other watch types, gold watches have the advantage that they can allow some personal engraving to be made. Since it is a watch of value, such a watch will require some kind of special engraving. In case you are planning to give it to someone as a gift, you can have a special message engraved on the watch and this could go a long way in explaining your sentiments towards that person. I had one such watch engraved for a friend and I had her name marked quite perfectly. It turned out to be a sight to behold!

Tailor made

Many times when you are purchasing gold watches, you can have them made to your specifications. Since you are spending substantial amounts of money to have the watch (or as the Danes say ur), the customization of the watch is not very difficult. I had the opportunity to pick out the colors that I wanted on the watch. I was able to pick out the exact color of gold that I preferred and I was even able to pick out the color of the dial. All these are benefits that I could not have enjoyed if I had opted for other watches.
