How GNS3 Lab Setup Can be Done very Easily
The Network Automation container
is one of the most effective GNS3 devices. If this device is not already
installed, you can add it to GNS3 by dragging the Network Automation container
to your workspace from the Available Devices section. Transfer it over to the
GNS3 workspace. A network switch will also be launched on the GNS3 VM by
dragging it to the GNS3 workspace. You can run the GNS3 VM with all the devices
running for gns3
lab setup. The Network Automation container starts up incredibly
fast. In order to enable the Docker container to obtain an IP address from the
NAT Cloud and have access to the internet, including an ethernet switch in the
topology. However, it will be automating Cisco Viral IOSv Layer 2 switches and
Cisco IOSv routers. GNS3 recommends using photos from Cisco Viral. You might
use different gadgets, however, if you use Dynamips images, you might run into
problems. So, use Viral Images and a Network Automation container in this gns3
lab exercise.
Create the topology from scratch.
If you do not want to, you can download the configured topology. Consequently,
you can download and import the topology into GNS3 rather than creating it from
scratch. To the NAT Cloud, connect the Ethernet switch. Link the IOSv Layer Two
switch and the GNS3 Ether switch together before linking the switch and router.
So, start with a topology that is quite basic. Rename the router to router one
and the switch to switch one.
To begin, a very simple topology.
The topology can be made to appear appealing. Turn on the network devices and
open consoles for them. The IOSv router and layer two switches are both booting
up, and the Network Automation container is already running. If the config reveals
that the Network Automation container has an IP Version Six address alone; an
IP Version Four address is missing. The Ethernet switch won't be controlled by
the console. But for now, set up the Network Automation container to use DHCP.
As a result, the network reveals that these lines have been commented out. As a
result, use the nano network to remove the comments from these two lines before
saving and overwriting the file. In order to remove the comment marks from
these two lines, use nano, a basic text editor, and save the file. Now, in the
pre-built topology provided, that configuration has already been finished, so
all you need to do is import the topology to access it.
